Resolution 2/23-3/6

Still no play date this week... I swear I tried twice. Oh well! I did get my visiting teaching done and the taxes submitted! YAHOO!

This week:

Get Troys passport in for our cruise!
Clean out the computer desk drawers
Sign Hinckley up for a dance, swim, or gymnastic program again

Hincklism

Today Hinckley came out from using the bathroom and told us, "I made a stinky poo poo that looks like a car." Troy and I could NOT STOP LAUGHING!

Blog much?

I know I have been like a blogging machine... I guess I have found it therapeutic. Yes I am suggesting that I am dealing with something personally in my life. BUT I am not ready to share... SO sorry to leave you hanging its really not a big deal and most of you probably already know about it and I have mentioned it a time or 2 before. ANYWHO! On with my adorable family....

I couldn't take it any more so today we drove up to Rexburg and met Daddy for lunch again... Twice in 1 week... I know CRAZY! But I just wanted to see him for more than 30 minutes before bed. Oh it was awesome.. I just snuggled on his arm and Hinckley watched you tube videos and Chandler slept. Oh it was grand!

I brought Hinks home and he wanted to take a nap down stairs. He dumped all his toys out and said it was his "garden" and wanted to sleep by it. Yes that is him under the purple blanket, you can barely see his jeans poking out. Silly kid!

Today I was changing Chandlers diaper and Hinckley tried to put Chands pants on Chands head. Oh it was funny then of course he had to put them on his head too....

Hinks looks like he is rapping... LOL!

4 month check up

We took Chandler to Dr. Groberg today for his 4 month check up. He looks great! He had to get shots... BOO! But he did so good only cried for a second. Here are his stats:

Height: 25 inches
Weight: 14 pounds 15 ozs
They didn't tell me his head numbers but the doctor told me his head is measuring a little small but his daddy has a small head!
I am so thankful to have this precious babe in my life!

Bath tub sandwich

This was Chandlers first time in the big boy tub. You can see I had to put a towel behind him but I think he enjoyed being in there with his big brother.

( Why did I call it a sandwich? Because I put a picture then words then a picture... I know I find joy in simple things)

Sleeping beauty

I tried to put Hinckley down for an early nap the other day because we were headed to Rexburg for a dentist appointment during nap time. He finally fell asleep and when I went in to wake him up this is what I found. Swim googles on head and jacket on.

Jeff & Brittanys wedding

My other cousin Jeff got married this last weekend and I was able to go to the wedding, luncheon and reception. It was so nice to be with family again. It was beautiful and they look so happy!

Both have brothers on a mission. The one on the left is Brittanys twin brother (her dad shared a sweet story about their birth and how Brittany wasn't breathing but made it through) and then that is my cousin Charles on the right. Brittanys parents saw these 2 cut outs of President Bush and Mitt Romney so they bought them at a party store and covered up their faces. Pretty clever I thought!

This is the only shot I got at the reception. Isn't that sad? Oh well. And thats my cousing Glen in the very front of the photo. lol

STSR bed time

Troy has been so busy with school and work and the National Guard. He usually leaves the house between 6-7am and doesn't get home until 7-8 and a couple of days it was 10:30! I AM SO EXCITED FOR SCHOOL TO BE OVER SOON! Anyway... Hinckley has been missing his daddy so last night I let him fall asleep in our bed and I went to bed with him. We were laying there and he said,
"Mom can we talk." Of course we can buddy! So we talked for the next 10 minutes or so until he fell asleep. It was just sweet to listen to him sing and talk about his favorite color, animal, etc. I think I needed more than Hinks did!

A surprise for Troy

Yesterday Troy called and was having a bad day. So we decided to write down things we love about daddy and we folded them up and put them in balloons. And then we stuffed his car full of them. We had so much fun!

Hinckley's first talk

Hinckley came home with a little note saying he had to prepare a talk for the following Sunday. I about fell over are you kidding me? He isn't old enough. But he did a great job. I couldn't help but laugh because he was so darn cute. I asked him a few questions and these were his answers so that is what his talk ended up being.

Rice cereal for a 3 year old

Hinckley wanted to try this new stuff called rice cereal. I wish I was video taping it was great! Here are some photos

4 months minus 1 day

My precious little Chand Chand is growing up! I decided to give him rice cereal for the first time today because he just seems so hungry! I am not sure he liked it too much. I just did one spoonful.

This is right before.... he had no clue what was coming!

Here it comes!

The point of no return

And it just came right back out

Just Keep SWIMMING!

I think I have been telling myself this a lot because yesterday this is what Hinckley came to me with. He so wants it to be summer and I DO TOO!

Tonight we were headed off to Blue and Gold Banquet for cub scouts and I was getting the potatoes out of the oven and Troy was getting the babe all wrapped up to go outside. Well, the next thing I hear is BANG, BAM, SLAM, BANG, THUD, CLUNG. I went RUNNING... to the bottom of the stairs. Hinckley had put his pillow case over his head and stumbled down the stairs. I SCREAMED AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS for Troy. He came running... I scooped Hinks up and he just started kicking and punching me. He couldn't catch his breath. He had the wind knocked out of him. It was horrifying... Troy took him and got him calmed down and was able to get him to breathe, while I sobbed. How could I have let this happened? Why wasn't I paying attention? Stupid potatoes... Stupid Blue and Gold... UGH! He has a few battle wounds but we are SO VERY BLESSED he is ok.

Countdown to Graduation

For family home evening on Monday night we decided to make a count down chain. Did you ever do this as a kid? Like for Christmas or your birthday? I use to do it a lot! Anyway... As of today we only have 51 days! YAHOO! YAHOO! YAHOO!

Happy V-Day!

We had a pretty lazy weekend. This morning I woke up and made heart shaped pancakes and we had breakfast in bed! Then we all I mean ALL 4 of us piled in the jacuzzi tub and splashed around for a while. We headed to church and came home to enjoy the afternoon. Me and the 2 boys took naps and we ate leftover soup. Nothing too exciting for love day but it was kind of nice to just relax. Some friends stopped by with goodies and that was a sweet treat for the day!

Saturday Troy let me take a nice long nap with the babe. Since we are trying to save money to go on a cruise we didn't do presents or anything but we agreed that acts of service was a good exchange. Daddy and Hinks went on a father and son date to the cheap movies to see the Chipmunk movie and I hung out with my sister in law Kristin and 2 of her friends.

I AM SO EXCITED Troy has tomorrow off from school.... We will probably do nothing but it will be nice to have him home!

Hincklism

Today while we were in the bath tub Daddy and Hinks were pretend shooting.... bears, snakes, you know the good stuff and Hinckley said to his daddy, "you can shoot me because then I wont be a kid any more."

Week 2/14-2/20 resolution

I started out this year with a few New Years Resolutions. Nothing fancy just a few... Cook something new once a week, do 1 act of service for somebody once a week and exercise 3 times a week. I didn't even start the exercise routine at all... yikes! And for the most part I have kept true to the other 2 minus being sick for a week. I plan on continuing my cooking and service goals....

BUT! I have decided to do something new. I am going to make weekly goals for myself. Instead of overwhelming myself with silly things that I will not accomplish and therefore feel bad about it I am going to do small and simple....

1: Jump on the elliptical ONCE this week
2. Have a play date with a friend
3. Go through the stack of papers on the computer desk

We will see how I do!

Hincklism

I dont remember what Troy said to Hinckley the other day but Hinckley responded to him, " your killing me smalls." We had a good laugh. Any guesses what movie that is from?

Happy 200th POST!

This may be random post.... OH WELL!

A year ago today I found I was expecting again! YAHOO for baby CHAND CHAND coming in our life!

I have 2 AMAZING children... They light up my life everyday and make life worth living!

He really does love his brother that pinch is an "I LOVE YOU" pinch!

Hinckley has his daddys sense of humor... no doubt about that one!

I got to go the temple yesterday for my cousins wedding and it was just awesome to be there and think back to my wedding. My aunt and uncle stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn which is right across from the temple and this was the view from their balcony. I dont have a nice camera so the picture does NOT do it justice!

Ok I think that is good for random post number 200!

Buddies from the past?

This is my cousin Christian and Hinckley. Christian and his family came up for Don's wedding and these 2 were inseparable! I am so glad they had a chance to play together. I am hoping I can convince them to come up next weekend too!

The LOVE month

Yesterday my cousin Don got married in the Idaho Falls Temple. I was able to be there for the sealing and stuff and it was wonderful! The bride was beautiful and the groom looked stunning! It was great to see family too! CONGRATS! Next week is my other cousin Jeffs wedding. Way to go LOVE MONTH!

Sour kisses

Today we were snacking on some yummy sour straws and Chandler looked like he wanted one so we gave him a little taste. Please do not call CPS on us. It was just a little taste....

Hincklism

Its been a while since I have posted something funny Hinks has said. The other day he was about to sneeze and he said, "Mom I need to do a bless you." Oh Troy and I laughed about that one for a while! Still do when I think of it.

A few weeks ago we were watching the TV show Glee on the internet. Hinckley took one look at the principal in the show and said, "look mom that is President Obama." I couldn't argue with him but it was pretty funny!

This is a picture of the principal. I guess he wasn't too far off... Just a tad.
