1st karate tournament

Hinckleys first karate tournament was in November. We traveled up to Santa Fe for it. IT WAS PACKED WITH KIDS AND PARENTS!!!!!!!!!! It was insane. Hinckey did a fantastic job and we are so proud of him! He won first place in self defense for his division. We have his certificate and ribbon in a frame on his wall. He also just went to his 2nd tournament that was in ABQ. He did sparing for the first time... Thats another blog post! I forgot my camera to both events... But I did get some pictures from one of the moms for the 1st tournament.

Orange Belt

This is Hinckley right before his belt test. We missed his belt test last week because we had other obligations but his teacher was great to let him make it up during class.

During his test. His teacher asked him if he wanted to do it with other people or by himself. He said he wanted to do it by himself. I was SO PROUD of him. SO PROUD!

IDES!

Blue tip test

I think I will post almost everyday until Troy comes home. I think its because every single day feels like a week or a month long. Thankfully we are staying busy but still it feels like time has stopped.

ANYWAY, Hinckley had a tip test at karate today. He did FANTASTIC! So proud of this kid.

Look at face! So intense

WHACK!
Getting his blue tip on his belt. SWEET!

Gold belt test

Here are a few pictures from his belt test. I think I was pretty talented because I video taped and took pictures and tried to keep a 19 month old quiet all by myself!

Karate Belt test

This is Hinckleys karate belt test. He got a bit distracted by all the people in the audience. But he did great!

One crazy week

Man we've had a crazy busy week. It all started on Sunday when I had 2 different meetings at church, church (3 hours), and home teachers over. We have been on the ground running ever since.

Wednesday by far has been our busiest! We started it off by going to Explora (we now have a year long pass there too). Its a children's museum. We met up with my friend Emily and 2 of her 3 kids. Emily has truly been a dear friend to me since we moved her! She reminds me so much of my bff Melanie. Anyway, my boys fell asleep on our car ride home and so we all took naps when we got home.

I love this picture of my baby
Both my boys could have stayed in this spot for hours. They love taking things apart and putting them back together.

My craft... LOL!
He was one tired boy.

After our short naps we were up and running to karate. Hinckley had another tip test. He did fantastic! This was Mr. K doing his tip test. He is a little ahead of the rest of the kids because he started before the other ones.

This is Hinks with MRS. Z. He loves karate!

We had an hour between karate and New Beginnings (that is a program for the young women I am in charge of). So we ate dinner and did baths. Of course Chandler decides it would be awesome to poop in the tub! I was trying to get everything cleaned up and the kids ready and myself. You think an hour would be long enough but not with 2 kids!
