packing peanuts

I am in a bit of a funk that I hope to get out of soon and I should mention that I feel like I have changed a bit as a mom since Troy left. I am not as fun and goofy with my kids. I haven't taken the moments to stop and smell the roses as much. But a few days ago I broke out of this little funk for about an hour and it felt fantastic and like home!

My mother in law sent my birthday present the other day and we sure had fun playing with the contents!

Back to Memorial Weekend!

So on Memorial Day weekend we had some fun and of course I didn't have my camera so I tried to take a few pictures with my phone. And of COURSE I can't get my computer to recognize my phone. URGH. Anybody have an iphone they want to give me for my droid?! I had to email myself the pictures then download them. PAIN in the butt.

We went to this place called Tinkertown. Its kind of a funny little place. You should google it.

We also went on the chair lift up Sandia Peak. It was fantastic. It was a bit cold. And we lost one of Chandlers shoes. And of course it wasn't the cheap croc's it was the expensive see kai run shoes. Oh well. Such is life! We ate some yummy homemade soup afterwards in the lodge and enjoyed the scenery.

Fall 2010

I love fall. I love spring and summer more... but we decided to start celebrating the season change. Here are a few things that we have done.

We went on a fall leaf hunt at a park. We had a lot of fun trying to find different types of leaves and different colors. Hinks put them in his back pack.

For FHE (family home evening) we made a thankful chart.

Here is our collection of leaves. We decorated a box and had some fun getting excited for fall.

FHE Monday the 1st

Hinckley loves to play restaurant so we decided it would be fun to do our own restaurant for dinner! He wanted to make sure everybody had a toy to play with after dinner so we made puppets. And we decided on grilled cheese and tomato soup. We had so much fun making the name place cards, the menus, setting the table, making the food and acting like cook/waiter. Here are a few pictures to enjoy.
