Nov 16th thankfulness

It is about time I catch up on my thankfulness! I sometimes do it at night on my iphone but for some reason it wouldn't let me write text. So I need to catch up while my boys are sleeping.

November 16th: Today I am so thankful for my mother in law (who is pictured above). It was her birthday on the 16th! Do you want to know whats pretty awesome? I GET TO SEE HER IN 3 DAYS! YES! And spend Thanksgiving with her. It is going to be pretty epic I think to be together as a family. My kids are stoked to see them and me and the hubs are too! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY KATHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (BTW I am thankful for Don too!)

November 17th:

Today I was thankful for cool places like Explora that I could take my kids and husband. And also that my Hinckley got ALL + signs on his progress report for school. WHAT A STUD! I have pictures I need to post on here... I will get there someday.

November 18th:

TODAY I AM THANKFUL THAT TROY HAS A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. TROY HAS A JOB!!!!!!! More details to come!

Nov 13th

I know I really need to upload and update my blog. Maybe tomorrow? Today I am thankful for the people I work with in my Church. Today at our meeting we laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. And I am also thankful for the primary program. It's probably my favorite Sunday. Hinckley did fantastic on his part and sang his little heart out!

Nov 12th

Can it really be the 12th already? Geez time is flying by like crazy! Today I am thankful for family time that finally includes Troy! I am also thankful my kids are passionate about things in life like toys, time with dad, food, etc. I am also thankful for the fact I have a paid off vehicle that gets me anywhere I need to go. And I am thankful my body is capable of cleaning it too.

A thankful November

So I can tend to be very negative when life gets tough. I love this time of year when the weather gets a bit breezy and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I think I need to have a little more gratitude in my life. So I am hoping to do a thankful November to remember. Hopefully every day or every few days I will write things I am thankful for this Holiday season.

November 1st: I am thankful we were invited over to dinner tonight at a friends house. The food was yummy and the company and change up of the norm was really nice.

Changes

Monday was a busy shopping day for me. We bought a fridge and a kitchen table and almost bought a couch. Goodbye savings account... Hopefully we will have a house to put it in. We checked out the house today and its looking great!

Here is my new kitchen table! It has the 2 ladder chairs and 2 benches.

The middle has an extra leaf that folds INTO the table! It is amazing! I LOVE IT. It was a bit pricey but we did get it on sale and I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!
Chandler has decided to sleep in a big boy bed. He isn't even 2 yet! My baby is definitely NOT a baby anymore!!!!!!
I stress so much about my boys falling out of their beds. But thank goodness for guard rails

We had a crazy afternoon! 2 busted lips, a broken door jam, internet out, 1 broken tooth, a filing fell out, a wire on a braces has decided to poke out and eat up my cheek, a bloody nose... Lets see that was all within about a 2.5 hour time frame. IT WAS CRAZY!

You know what is interesting is earlier today I just had this overwhelming feeling of gratitude. I am grateful I was home when both my babies busted their lips today and I was the one who got the bloody shirt cuddling my sweet babies. I am grateful for my screaming almost 2 year old because that means I have ears to hear.I am thankful for the 2 car repairs we've made in the last month because that means I have a mode of transportation. I am thankful for my $400 contacts/eyeglass purchase because that means I can watch my babies grow up. I am glad I have a chewed up cheek because that means I have braces on my teeth to fix them.

Troys coming home dates have been pushed back again *sigh* but really its the army and things change a lot. But a few days or weeks wont mean a thing in the grand scheme of things. PLUS he is on American soil! SWEET!

Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving

This year we went to my brother Robs house in Hobbs, NM. It is about a 5 hour drive and it was so much fun! My brother David and his 6 kids came from Dallas too. We had a packed house but boy was it entertaining! I think it is fair to say that whenever you get a big group together you always fear that something will go wrong or end up in a mess but I can truly say this family get together was just fantastic! We ate way too much food and played and played and played til we were all dead tired! The kids played great together and the adults did too! Here are some pictures from our trip.

We enjoyed 4 wheeling. This is my brother Rob his son Jack and my niece Alyssa
This is Casan my brother Davids littlest boy. He was a mean, green, fighting machine on the jeep.
Grandpa and Hinks on the motorcycle

Landon my brother Davids son and Levi (Robs son)
My brother David and his son Tyler. Tyler has a size 15 shoe and is only 13 years old! Thats 2 sizes bigger than my hubbys!

I was so impressed by these kids. They were all wonderful to my kids! Each and every prayer they prayed for Troy to be safe. It warmed my heart... A LOT! It wasn't even like they were prompted by parents it was like they do it all the time which really meant a lot to me. Hinks even came home saying in his prayers, "Bless Uncle Troy to be safe." Love my family..... And if you were wondering that was a total of 20 of us! Crazy but fun!
