Ugly Sweater party

We have the absolute BEST NEIGHBORS in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. We feel very blessed to have great people living near us. They have kids our kids ages and those who don't have kids love our kids as if they were their own.

So we decided to have a Christmas party at our house. And I have always wanted to have an ugly sweater party so that we did! It was pretty fun! And I forgot to take more pictures!

BYU vs NMSU

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had the opportunity to go to a BYU football game in Las Cruces. It is about 3-4 hours away and we had great seats!!!!!!!! We left early and went to a local farmers market once we got there.

The stadium was pretty small and wasn't even half full. In fact there was probably more BYU fans there then NMSU. But we had a great time and BYU WON! It was so much fun!

Thanksgiving FHE

WE had our thanksgiving FHE at my parents house. We put on a play and the kids loved it!

Thanksgiving dinner yum!

Troy and I decided to do a little competition this year... He would cook 1 turkey and I would cook another. Result? They both came out great but I won... Like my turkey was AMAZING! We made everything from scratch except the stuffing. The cranberry sauce was awesome, green beans, everything tasted just how it is suppose to! We were happy that both our turkeys turned out and we had my parents over to help us eat all the food. Plus we sent them home with lots of turkey and leftovers! We love having my parents so close. We tried to have dinner once a week together and we usually do fun outings together too.

We had some amazing pie too! Banana cream, apple, pumpkin, almond tart, and a gingerbread trifle. All of those things were homemade too including the pumpkin pie made from a real pumpkin! After we ate we decided to head to the park to work off some of that good food! BTW I think I made mashed potatoes for the whole state of New Mexico... I am not even kidding

Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving week was sure fun in our house! We went to the aquarium and prepped for our big dinner at our house.

We had so much fun. We packed a lunch and ate it there too!

1st karate tournament

Hinckleys first karate tournament was in November. We traveled up to Santa Fe for it. IT WAS PACKED WITH KIDS AND PARENTS!!!!!!!!!! It was insane. Hinckey did a fantastic job and we are so proud of him! He won first place in self defense for his division. We have his certificate and ribbon in a frame on his wall. He also just went to his 2nd tournament that was in ABQ. He did sparing for the first time... Thats another blog post! I forgot my camera to both events... But I did get some pictures from one of the moms for the 1st tournament.
