I feel a bit bad that I didn't make Hinckleys birthday as big as I could have. We did have a good time though and he opened WAY too many presents and we ate cake and ice cream.

The day before his birthday a package came from Grandpa and Grandma Carter. He was so excited that we let him open up the package. His favorite thing in the box was a Pirates of the Caribbean watch. The picture below of him hugging it.

I told him he could invite a few friends over to play and we wanted the whole Kinghorn family to come over. (They have 6 kids!) He loves that family so much. So we decided to take most of them swimming on his bday. It was hot over 100 degrees so it was perfect! The kids had a blast and it was a perfect day!

5 years ago today....

Our Hinckley Joseph Carter was born in Sacramento, California 5 years ago today. His first year of life was hard and he was sick but we made it through and now here we stand 5 years later! I can hardly believe he is about to start school. I am going to miss him so much during the day. He is so smart and inventive. He is a go getter and ambitious. He is happy (most of the time), he is the BEST big brother EVER. I am really surprised what a gentleman he is becoming. He reminds me so much of his daddy. He has a tender heart, a giving heart, and the biggest heart. He loves to laugh and make people laugh. He is the best artist and hug giver. He loves having friends to play with and loves to learn. I think I could go on and on and on. I wouldn't trade any day of the last 5 years for all the money in the world. He is my little Hinckley Joe.

Our fun & crazy summer

I feel like I have so much to catch up on! We have been so busy with birthdays, family, visitors, reunions, injuries, just everything! And you want to know something sad? I didn't get very many pictures taken! Ugh... I will have to have my brother, sister and dad send me some of the pictures they took!

We celebrated Hinckleys 4th birthday on the 23rd! We had a very fun day. We took him to see Toy Story 3 (very good movie, I highly recommend it). We had olive pizza for dinner and yummy fireman cake. He got to play with Natalia, Mya and Josie for a few hours and he loved it! He opened his fun presents and we tried to make it special for him.










Oh and we celebrated Father's Day! Troy got a new Greatest Dad shirt with both boys footprints in it.







We celebrated my sisters graduations because we failed at being there for them. We made them wear graduation gowns and we gave them a few silly gifts.
