Reunion part 4

Our second and last full day in San Diego was the CRAZIEST DAY I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! Anything that could go wrong went wrong but everything ended up alright in the end...

We had pictures scheduled at 10AM at the beach. About 9:30AM Troy informs me he brought the wrong sized shirt... The goal was to have everybody in khaki's and white shirts... The shirt he brought was like 2 sizes TOO SMALL. So thank goodness we were all ready to go so we hopped in the van to find a wal-mart. Knowing we would probably be a bit late but Troy needed a shirt. I typed in wal-mart in Troys GPS and off we went. I am sure there was one closer but we plugged it in and off we went.

After we found the shirt we headed back to the beach to find the rest of the party. Who by this time were running a tad bit late and we realized we had NO CLUE where were suppose to be or where our photographer was. She told us to meet at the pier. After some intense frustration we FINALLY found the pier and all of us miraculously made it.  Did I mention we didn't have the photographers phone number and she didn't have ours? LESSON LEARNED! It was crazy. (By the way we are SO not impressed with our photographer after receiving our photos in the mail)

After our photos we headed back to the hotel... In which we discovered that some how we had left a bin with all of our swimming stuff and camera and snacks outside of our van... In our rush to get to wal-mart we left it sitting behind the van. It took a while to track down but thank goodness somebody turned it in!

April suggested we celebrate his birthday which we loved the idea!  Travis & Jenny offered to go pick up Hinckleys birthday cake.  

 That ended up being a huge issue because of an accident on the freeway! Bless their hearts it was a mess! Once they arrived back we had lunch and cake and presents.

 The day doesn't end there! We all took some much needed naps. Don discovered the tickets we had for the Padres game that night were for the wrong night! So in true order of the day he and Kristin went downtown to see if they could exchange them. And thank goodness he could!

We headed down there and it took some time to catch up with Don & Kristin. We had awesome seats and the kids LOVED the game. And the best part about it was the Padres won!!!!! It was an awesome game.

After the game Don & Kristin headed towards the trolley to go back to their car and the rest of us headed to the parking garage. Don had borrowed Troys coat during the game because it got chilly... Well, Troys keys were in the coat pocket that Don was wearing!!!!! We called him the second we realized it and thank goodness the doors had just closed on the trolley and they were able to come bring us the keys. It would have been a very LONG night waiting for them to get back to their truck on the other side of town, drive to us and give us the keys!

Chandler would have stayed here all day if I let him. It overlooked the train yard. The Padres stadium is pretty incredible!!!!!

So it was a CRAZY day but it all worked out!
