So they say its your birthday.... and you are turning 28!

Yes it is true I am officially 28! For my birthday the boys and my parents took me to the zoo and we had so much fun looking at the animals. Both boys just ran from animal to animal, they were so excited!

I love this picture of my sweet boy smelling these tulips!

The boys didn't really want to share this really cool African chair...

Hinks posing for me

Look at that kid! What a handsome boy!

Chandler deciding to be brave and jump off a log

This wonderful little lioness is incredibly slippery because so many kids crawl on it... Poor Hinks got beat up a bit by it... But in the end was able to climb on top.

This is our big boy Chandler... He is potty trained too! He thought it was pretty funny to pee in a water bottle at the zoo.
Can you see what is in this chimps hand and mouth? Yah it looks like POOP.... No really it looks like poop and my boys kept saying it was poop. A wonderful lady who works at the zoo told them they were special biscuits that the chimps like to dip in water and suck on.... Both boys were convinced they were poop and continued to tell everybody who came to see the chimps that it was poop. OH WELL! We all had a good laugh... except the zoo worker...
Climbing around

We came home and took naps... Daddy came home from work and we had a BBQ at Grandpa and Grandmas. We enjoyed watching some specials on the Titantic since it was 100 years since it sunk. Did you know President Abraham Lincoln was shot on my birthday too? What a historic day!

Anyway... Yes this birthday cake says, "Happy Birthday Helga"
Do you want to know the story behind my new name? Well, when we were first married we went out to a Mexican resturant with some friends and while I was in the restroom Troy told the people that it was my birthday and that my name was Helga... When I came back from the potty I heard a carol of people singing, "Happy Birthday dear Helga, Happy Birthday to you!" I didn't have much of a sense of humor about it... It wasn't even my birthday! But we can all laugh about it now!

Chandler got really quiet and so we came into the kitchen and found he had poked all the candles down into the cake....

Our sweet family of 4!
Caught you red handed you cute little red headed boy!
