Plan B, C, D, and maybe Z

Well since Troy has been home (3 months) we have bounced around just about every idea in the book of what to do for our future. When Troy landed his job in corrections we decided we would settle here. That was our plan in the first place but it felt like eternity to find a job. Once he landed the job we started to talk to our lender a bit more about the house we built. We talked to a few lenders and discovered that with Troys base pay ($14 an hour) we would have to show proof of over time. And with the academy 3 months long and then a 30 day pay stub after that it would be a while to get into the house. And on top of that we still might not get the house because they would want to see in writing that his overtime was guaranteed.

So we looked at a few other options like co-signers and stuff and after crunching some numbers decided to say goodbye to the BIG house. I was pretty sad about it but knowing we would be tight with money EVERY single month really turned me off. So we talked with our builder and came to the conclusion to switch over to a SPEC home in the same neighborhood and a few streets over. We looked at a few other homes that were either available or almost available and concluded with this.......

OUR HOME!

It has tile
A nice kitchen

The boys room (room 2)Master Bedroom with a bay window (room 3)
Bedroom number 1 (play room, office, everything room)
It is A LOT smaller. I think it is only about 500 sq ft more than our first apartment but it will be ours! And we will be able to afford it! It has what we need and that is the most important thing. It is suppose to be done in about a month. We are hoping to close on it by beginning of February. We are excited and feel that this is a step in the right direction.
