Dancing in the moonlight

The 2nd week Troy was home a member of the Stake Presidency called us into his office. I really thought it would be a calling for Troy since he just got back. We sat down joked about it for a minute and then he asked us to BOTH be the dance couple. By the way for those who are not a member of my church in my church we volunteer or are called to do things in our church. For example you could be called to work in the nursery which is teaching the 18 month-3 year olds. You could be asked to work in scouts or other church assignments. I work with the young women ages 12-18 and Troy teaches Sunday School class for that age group which is both boys and girls.

Anyway, so this past Friday we had our first dance we were in charge of the music. It really went pretty well but the music has NO organization whatsoever so we have a road ahead of us to get it fixed. We are very excited for this new challenge and I took a few pictures to put up on a bulletin in our church so I thought I would share a few that didn't show any faces. I dont want some parent freaking out because I put their kids face on my blog.

Dancing to thriller
We had a GROG... It was awesome!
Macarena the kids love this one!
We look forward to more dances!!!!

I LOVE THIS KID!

HA! This picture makes me laugh. He got these 2 guns at the flea market for a $1.

I love his blue eyes!
I think I am going to frame this picture when we get into our own place

Best Day of your life Poll

Okay its been a while since I did a poll. Do you like the polls?!

The answers to last poll came out like this...
What was the best day of your life?

Graduating School: 14%(1)
Got married: 28%(2)
Adding to the family 42%(3)
OTHER 14%(1)

Nobody hit the other answers so that is total! I would have to say the best day of my life was marrying Troy. Because without that I wouldn't have my 2 beautiful children (also the best days of my life were their births) and seriously the day Troy came home was probably THE BEST DAY EVER!

CHECK out the new poll on the right

And remember I can't see who participates in the polls so poll away!

It was a mess but it worked out great!
Have I ever told you how much I love my Church? And how much I love the people in my Church? They had a ward chili cook off the weekend we were out of town and they were going to do a surprise thank you for him. So instead they dropped it off the other night.
They were yummy cookies too!
See all these thank you notes?! 7 of them with lots of little thank yous inside!
BONUS PICTURE OF CHANDLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodbye GJ

Woops I forgot to post about our trip home from GJ. Because of snow and road limitations we had to take the long way home.

We drove through these beautiful canyons!

Chandler wanted a picture!

And we got stuck at a Navajo POW WOW. IT was SLOW MOVING forever

Hinckley POST

I have to tell you that I have the best 5 year old in the whole world! I LOVE THIS KID SO MUCH. He finished his chore chart right before daddy came home and got his first ever report card. HE got all stars in every category! WAY TO GO HINKS!

He came home a week ago with this new pencil... See it below

He told me that his teacher let him pick something out of the treasure box. And I asked him why and he told me something that pricked my heart as a mother (in a good way). He said that somebody has dropped 3 goldfish and everybody kept walking by them and not picking them up until he came by and picked them up and put them in the trash. His teacher saw his good deed and rewarded him by letting him pick out something in the treasure box. I was so proud of him for not walking by but picking them up and throwing them away. WHAT A GOOD BOY!

Hinckley has a new tip color on his belt! WAY TO GO HINKS!
This is square horse stance

I have video I will try to load on here too! PS Hinckley has 2 teeth coming in behind his bottom teeth a few of those bottom teeth are loose.
I really dont want him to loose his beautiful smile to missing teeth... Thats the joy of growing up I guess!
