We had an ultrasound this week on Wednesday. I was excited to go but sad Troy couldn't come with me. He had a class HE COULD NOT miss. Oh well, I would much rather have him ace a test because he got the study guide and come or fail b/c he came. We were pretty sure that this little one was a girl. This pregnancy has BEEN SO DIFFERENT then when i was pregnant with Hinckley. I have a cousin who does foot reflexology and she "read" my feet and came to the conclusion I was having a girl. Troy had some crazy dreams we were having a girl and I just thought for sure we were!
The ultrasound tech was so nice, new and slow but very thorough. I got to see all 4 chambers of the heart which was THE MOST AMAZING THING! I spotted the little boy part and about fell off the table. There was NO mistaking it though. The baby was estimated to be about 10 oz. which she said they like to see them at 12 oz by 20 weeks and I was just over 19 weeks measuring so thats a good thing! The baby was breached but of course that doesn't mean much now. She said my fluids around the baby looked pretty good. I guess they like to see it around 10-20 or something like that and I was at a 12. She looked really hard at the babys face to look for a cleft pallet. He looked great! His little arm was back behind his head (his daddy and his brother do the EXACT same thing) and she says that is a sign of contentment. I left shocked but SO EXCITED for another little boy. We have everything except diapers and we feel so blessed. We totally had a girl name picked out so now we are back at square 1. How do you name a kid when you have a brother name Hinckley? Any and all suggestions will be considered.

Yellowstone Bear World
Maybe its finally SPRING?!

I dont even know where to begin! We have so many things to catch up on. I haven't even written about our trip to Tucson or anything!
Our trip to Tucson was WONDERFUL! Hinckley had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa. I think he likes them more than he likes us! We had fun dying easter eggs and going on an easter egg hunt. We went to the fair and the zoo. It was a very fun trip! Tuesday the 14th was my bday so I got to have an all day date with troy. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. WE went to the nice BIG mall, ate at Mimi's cafe, played for a couple of hours at fantastiks. Its this place where you can do laser tag, go carts, mini-golf, video games, and all sorts of fun stuff. I felt like a little kid again. I mean, I did turn 25! I road trip was long but SO WORTH IT!

Its been too long

This picture is of my family at my wedding 4 years ago. The only one missing is Rob and Julia and OF COURSE all the kids. The other picture is of Rob with Hinckley.... I wonder if I can find some more recent pictures????
Wow how can a month seem to go so fast yet so slow? We've had a lot happen in our family in the last month. Trips to the hospital, family members in the hospital, a trip to Tucson, Troy finishing another semester, starting another one. Family update
David, Trisha & 6 kids: Trisha lost her baby ( she was about 18 or so weeks along), they found out she has a blood clotting disease. Her father is in ICU with the same thing. Their little boy Casan who just turned 2 has been really sick with a high fever 105.3! The thought he had swine flu.
Amy & Shauna & Tatie: Have been swamped with school and work. Amy received "Counselor of the Year" for her district in Boise. I AM SO PROUD OF HER! She works night and day for those kids and puts her whole heart into her work. Amy was also in charge of a program called every 15 mins. Its a HUGE project that teaches the kids not to drink and drive on prom night. I can't wait to see the outcome. Amy has been working on it since September! They are both VERY busy in school too!
Rob, Julia & 5 kids: They have been rushing to get their new house done in time. Little Jack had 2 seizures on Sunday and has been in the hospital since. He stopped breathing during the first one and all the other kids are really struggling with it. They saw everything happen. We have been praying for them so much! They think he had an infection that caused the seizures.
Ben: Was in the hospital about 4 weeks ago with pancreas pain. He is doing better and stays so busy with work. He gets to visit my parents next week. They are excited to have him a few days.
Troy, Me, Hinckley, and baby ????: This month has been crazy! We drove to see my parents for a week. Pictures to follow soon. IT WAS A BLAST! We got back and that night I went into the ER with horrible upper stomach pain. Turns out I have some gallbladder problems. We will see what happens there. We are potty training Hinckley and he is doing really well! Troy finished a semester and is on to another one!

Conference Memory
As Troy was getting ready this morning for drill my mind started to wonder on past april conferences. And one in particular I would like to share. It happened 4 years ago when I was living in Tuscany apartments in Rexburg. My roommate LaNelle had received tickets to go to the Sunday morning conference session. She asked if I wanted to go and I kind of went back and forth about it but finally decided to go. I AM SO THANKFUL I WENT. That is the only time I have been able to go. I think I had to work the night before and LaNelle did too so we left EARLY Sunday morning. We left I think at 4am or was it 3? anyway... Plus we got up early to get ready.
We got to Temple Square really early and both of us were unfamiliar with the area so as soon as we found an open parking spot (mind you it was like 2 blocks from TS okay maybe not that far but there was not a car parked near the conference center so we could have parked very close) OH WELL! We had made it. We really didn't know what to do to kill time so we started walking around and realized that EVERYTHING was closed except this little mom and pop place to eat. We decided since we had been traveling for 3+ hours we should probably eat and we didn't have to be in our seats for like an hour and half. So we went in and I was so SURPRISED at how many people dressed in their Sunday best were in there.
Then come to find out most of them were members of the Tabernacle Choir because they had little name tags on. LaNelle and I both swear UP and DOWN we saw a few of them drinking coffee but hey who are we to judge? Maybe it helps with vocal chords? We ate and went on our way to the conference center. WE HAD PERFECT SEATS! PERFECT PERFECT! Thanks to LaNelle. And the conference was wonderful. We got to listen to the spoken word (they have very strict rules of moving and coughing and such during that performance) I cried at the end when President Hinckley walked out of sight he waved his cane at everybody and left. I knew in my heart that would be the last time I would see him alive.
We got in the car afterwards both feeling uplifted. I think we got to about Ogden and all of sudden we heard a loud thump noise. It sounded like we hit something so LaNelle pulled off the road. We examined the tires and discovered that 1 or 2 of her tires were about to shred to pieces. What a blessing this happened on our way back home not down! Plus once we went past Brigham City there is NOTHING! We were truly blessed that day! THANKS LANELLE FOR AN AWESOME MEMORY!
I remember sitting in the Conference debating about going on a mission. I was a week or so away from turning 21. For 2 semester I had been going to the mission prep classes not thinking I would ever go on a mission but rather score the heart of the mission prep teacher. But during the conference I had decided to pursue the idea. Well, not even a week later I met Troy on a blind date and 4 months later we were married. Everything happens for a reason I guess!
