Happy Birthday pillow!!!
Hinckley informed me after karate on Monday January 9th that it was his pillows birthday. Well, if there is a birthday in the house you better believe we celebrated!!! Even if it was last minute. This kid LOVES his pillow.
We made cupcakes in pillows honor. Grandma helped frost them
Hinckley helped a bit too
He got frosting on his finger....

Happy birthday!
Believe it or not my Mom made this pillow for Hinckley when he was about 18 months old out of my old college sheets.
Getting ready to blow out the candle!
Grandpa showed him how to pinch out the fire

Dear Deployment 4 months later
I have DREADED this past weekend since the moment Troy came home in September. It was the first weekend Troy had to go back to drill. Thank goodness he didn't have to go to Idaho for it, he was able to drill here in New Mexico.
When he came home I washed all of his uniforms and PT clothes and stuffed them all away in boxes in the back of closets. I wanted anything and everything that had to do with the military gone. Well, Friday night Troy had to dig out his uniform for drill.
*sigh*
I pretended I was sleeping while he dug them out. Inside I was crying.... I tossed and turned all night and when his alarm went off my heart sunk... I know it sounds crazy to some of you but it was very emotional for me to have him leave in his uniform...
I pretended to sleep as he got ready. I could hear his Velcro jacket going on, his socks being pull up and his boots being laced. I started to get emotional. He kissed me good-bye and after he walked out the room I cried.
I know... I know he would be back by 5:30pm, he wasn't going in harms way, I could text him and call him during lunch but deep down it hurt so bad to have him leave. I have some resentment towards his deployment (like that wasn't obvious) and believe it or not after the weekend was over I feel better. I still have some things to work through but its a start...
So Deployment I still hate you. I am dealing with you better now then I was 6 months ago. But I still hate you....
This is the pillow I sent to Troy when he first got there. It has been washed and used so much but he still sleeps with it every night. If this pillow could talk it would give you a book of information!
Below is a picture I took AFTER the weekend was over... After I washed it, I hung it back up in his closet... Thats a step closer then a box in the back of the closet...
I am taking baby steps with dealing with deployment. We are taking other baby steps in other aspects in our life. More details to follow!!!!

Living in New Mexico
On Saturday I stepped out to shake out some rugs and was surprised to see this right out the front door.
This beautiful balloon!!!!
Chandler LOVES to look at the balloons
We watched it for like 30 minutes!
We will be moving out of my parents house soon and there are a lot of things we will be looking forward to but one thing for sure... These 2 buddies will miss each other!!!!!!

Old friends
Some friends of ours from Tucson were visiting family in ABQ so they stopped by on Sunday. It was great to catch up and visit. They have a little girl a year older than Hinckley and twin boys Chandlers age.
Hinckley has a little crush on her...
Chandler being crazy
Yes he was climbing on the mini table
Playing candy land. I realized we have NO girl toys in this house...

It's a train thing
Last Saturday we went on a train ride. My boys love the train!!!!
This name made me laugh... Speaking of names I am going to blog about that later... But 7 names?! WOW!
Waiting for the train
Walking to the station
In Belen checking out the trains
It was cold!
My family. Yes I look a mess. I know. Dont judge.
SMILE
We provide the entertainment
This boy could seriously stay on the train ALL DAY LONG
