The Statue of Christ

So when we took Hinckley down to see the lights on temple square we had a unique experience at the statue of Christ. In a few Family home evenings we have talked about how the Savior has prints in his hands and feet. Well before we even got to the top he saw the shadow of it and he said "JESUS"!!!!!!!!!! When we got up there Daddy was explaining the scars on the Saviors feet and hands and then out of no where he said, "And ouchies on his head too..." Troy and I just looked at each other and stepped back and asked him again what he said. And sure enough he told us that he had ouchies on his head. And then we explained about how they put a crown of thorns on the Saviors head. And Hinckley said, "yes dad they did." Anyway... it was a neat experience and I wonder how much he remembers from before!

SLC lights

Before we flew out to California to visit troys parents for new years we went down to temple square and had so much fun!

Christmas Day

We had such a wonderful Christmas. We opened presents and ate so much food! We had our friends John and his kids over his wife had to work at the hospital that day. We had yummy turkey and then we played on the wii.

Waiting for Santa

We put up our stockings and left cookies and milk and carrots for santa! Hinckley had no idea what he was in for!

Military hair cut

Kristin troys lil sis cut my boys hair cut. I doubt we will cut hinckleys like this again!

The nativity

We went to my Aunt and Uncles house on Christmas Eve and played out the nativity! OH it was so much fun. I LOVE THE SHUMWAY FAMILY! I had to work all day and by the time I was off from work everything was closed even McDonalds! Here are a few pics of my fab famiy.

We are still alive

I have so much to catch up on but for now we had a WONDERFUL Christmas and a great New Year. We are in California right now visiting Troys parents and I LOVE BEING HERE!
